Tunxis Tennis /Raquet Court News
We now have a storage box at the tennis court to store the tennis and pickle ball equipment that has been donated to the Club over the years. Having the Club’s equipment stored near the court (instead of in the Clubhouse) will make it easier for those who want to learn and to play either game to do so. Equipment guidelines and instructions for setup/take down of the pickle ball net are included in the box.
If we need to set up some sort of court reservation system because of increasing use of the court (which would be a great problem to have), we will do so. In the meantime, we will continue our “first-come, first served” protocol with the following guidelines:
Tennis Singles: 1.0 hour
Tennis Doubles: 1.5 hours
Pickle Ball: 2.5 hours (includes time to set up and take down the net)
If you have unused racquets or balls for either sport that you’re willing to donate to the Club, please mark them with “Tunxis” and drop them in the box. Used tennis balls can just be added to the tennis ball hopper that is in the box.
